Wheel question for 9" 5x5 1/2

    Yup...and they cannot be rehardened. I was gonna go that route till my engine builder friend explained it to me. He said not only will respined axles twist from torque, but they cannot take the harmonic vibration of normal driving so they warp.:thumbs2:

    So over time ....kiss your axle, carrier bearings and tires goodbye. Not to mention the wear on all other parts in that chain.

    That's the size I'm running, but on a 15 x10 with a 5" backspace. I've got stiff rear springs and rolled the fender lips too. A 275/50 will fit, as will a 265/50 (there's only one or two mfgs of this size) I tried the 265's first but they're really short, I've got em on a custom aluminum utility trailer now. 275/60's would really be pushing the limits in height. A safe bet is 275/50's or 255/60's.
