Ouch! I was talking to someone this weekend and he told me about one he saw where on landing, the shock towers came trough the hood. Sometimes a little slipage might be a good thing.
Holy Crap! sorry you broke so much stuff, but I do have to say that is the prettiest wheelstand on a Maverick I have ever seen.....I would love a street car to be able to do that just once with out breaking anything....right on front beach road! I am doing my best to figure out how to get that kind of traction on the road....lets just say it involves a very sticky liquid and the ability to "wet" the tires with it....now for that onboard compressor hmmm.....
Did you jump out of the car like John Belushi in Animal House afterwards? LOL Impressive, but sorry about the repairs. Save the pics, it will be a great story after everything is repaired. Oh and what do you think caused it?
Great pics man - - - wow, words can't express it! Glad you are alright and at least the car can be repaired for more fun in the sun! As others before . . . now to get my street car to pull one down on Main St. lol Hang in there and be safe!
You sir are a Maverick god. I havent seen a wheelstand like that since the lenco maverick. And now i hate myself for not going to that race.
The wheelie was spectacular and I'm really sorry to hear about damaging the frontend, hope nothing else got bent. Kind of reminds me when I went off the end of the strip here in Redding, lucky that I only dented the oil pan and front valance.
Hey Eirck, You have the AJE front suspension right? Thats what my dad has on his mustang and he cant really settle the car down by tightening up the front struts. With it loose it will stand it on the bumper. He fought this one year at Vegas during thanksgiving. Made 4-link adjustments every pass and couldn't get it to calm down. Finally on sunday he stiffened the fronts all the way and it went straight out with barely any wheelie. Funny how Vegas always seems to make the wheelie that much higher than everywhere else. Hope you get it fixed soon and figure out how to calm it down some.
I wish my car could do that, sorry about the damages though, maybe the publicity was worth it? lol, that's your opinion though...
