and BTW I was bornded in May 1969 so I am about at "historic" as the Maverick and a little more Historic than the Maverick Grabber.....

I was born too late for The 60's and Woodstock and just in time for bell bottoms and leisure suits  . Just the right age for my first car to be a used and dirt cheap Maverick.. When I first starting driving you could have just about any ole Used Maverick on the road for a few hundred bucks, Now you gotta buy a whole parts car if you can find one because some of the parts for the darn things are more $$$ then I sold my first complete and Original matching # Grabber for ($450)

I like the fact that people are restoring these cars to a Glory and Respect level that they hardly got when new on the car lots but man I wish the supply was a little closer to the demand.....so the $$$$ weren't quite so high for the more rare parts like trim pieces and Sport Mirrors and stuff

In the 70,s mav,s with a three on the tree and a six cylinder, were like disposable lighters. you use it up. Then go get one more.
