Mine are 2.5. Plenty loud. Cannot carry much of a conversation inside the car, and drones loudly at 1000-1250 rpms, and again around 3000. SCREAMS like a banshee when you nail it though. And I LIKE that sound.

Sets of car alarms within a 60-80' radius.:D

ive got 2.5" pipes on my car, and have it turned out at the rear wheels (literally, they're not turned down and they dont go straight out and blow on the rear diff...) my turndowns are angled towards my wheels which keeps the droaning out of my car, but still sounds sick while idling where it's dumped underneath

Pretty much what I am running. See below in signature.

Pretty nice setup, just a bit slow until I get it up to around 2000 rpms. And I am still running stock converter, and that HAS to change.

I think its better now with the added clips. Also a cheap way to get them is the Junkyard. Almost every V8 car/truck out here has them. I got mine off a M12 T-bird for $36/pair. Last month i got a pair of super 40s for $18 during a half off sale. They were on a silverado. I ended up selling them to my neighbor for $100. They are now on his foxbody :)

Sounds a lot like mine. But why do you burn out at 6000 rpms? I usually keep mine down around 3000-4000. Sounds good, though.

Because the valve springs wont take 7000!!!
More rpm=more wheelspeed=more smoke = burnout contest win.
