update on the hoods: I talked to Vance a while back, and got a lil' info. The place he gets them from is called bruis glassworks. I was quoted $200 for a flat hood....plus shipping (and I could easily just go pick it up). They have a website, http://www.bruisglassworks.com. They will put any scoop you want onto the hood, just as my friend did with his '72 Maverick. Just look in the catalogs and pick out what you think would work, and call them....and they will put whatever you want on the hood. The one on John's '72...isn't too bad. Fits great (pin-on, lightweight style) for an aftermarket 'glass hood, but his choice of a scoop just doesn't look right to me.
