You can still buy the vapor valve and garment to fit the 77 tank from Ford, Auto Krafters or Rock Auto. I bought longer bolts at Lowe's...but I had to cut the length. The stock bolts are about 1" too short.

i put a fuel cell in my 73 and took my 73 tank and put it in my drop in car. i shaved about 1/8 off of each side and it slid right in. a peice of sheet metal for the gap on the front a peice of fuel line and was good to go

The gas tank from my new 73 Mav was taken out by the PO and replaced with an 8-gallon fuel cell. This won't work for me and I want another tank back on it but haven't found much luck so far. I've also got a 70 Mav I might be able to cannibalize but from what I hear the 70's tank won't fit the 73?

The 70 tank just might fit under the floor. Dont know of anybody that has tried it since they are the hardest to find.
