OK, here is my last speech and hopefully this thread can get back and stay on TOPIC.

Its all this "us verses them" comments. what is really being said , MCCI vs. MCG and maverick.to vs. fordmaverick.com; is balogna!
The only us verses them statements being made is by folks that have stated publicly that they are not affiliated with neither "us nor them"

THERE IS NO ISSUES BETWEEN THE MCCI/MCG....I will state it and hopefully an MCCI rep. will echo this:

*Each club has its place, The 2 clubs have different
approaches to things, and to each his own, and more power to anyone who wants to have a positive role, big or small in each, or both for that matter.

I have had numerous e-mail conversations with Shawn Simpson, Dennis Martin and Dan Starnes (for those that don't know, they are MCCI officers) over the last couple months. We are all excited about the prospect of making both national events in 09'......the talks we have had surely leave me with no reason to think there is an "us verses them".
So please, if you have a disagreement, just be man/women enough to have it, know need to throw the "club card" in it.

My name is John Ford and I approve this message!

I haven't left for the fair yet... kids take forever to get around... so I will reply

    Thank you for clarifying.

The only reason I even mentioned a group vs group thing was because it was previously mentioned, and that would be the only way I knew of it, as I don't go trying to cause problems.

So I do apologize for replying to a previous post by someone else that mentioned the group vs group thing.

I'm here for the Maverick/Comet in general, as a learning and teaching standpoint and from a friendly community standpoint as well.

I never intended to get on someone's bad side at all. I was trying to create peace... which I thought had happened until today.

Wifes yelling at me now to come on and go... so I'll check the board later. But no hard feelings to you John, I was just wondering where you were coming from so I PM'd you to find out what the problem/lack of problem was.

    Good day to all!

I will also emphatically state there is no ill will between the MCCI and the MCG. I was told on the phone this week that a leader of the MCG stilll had a major problem with the MCCI. I told him that he was off his rocker, but not that nice. I am going to the Gathering. Worked on the car today, gonna drive there in a Maverick. Why dont you pot stirrers spend a little more time on your cars or with your families. You might be surprised at the progress and positive attitude you can attain.
My Name is Dan Starnes, friend of John Ford, Don Graham, Matt Williams and everyone else in the MCG. And I damn well approve of this message.
    Dan
PS Thanks John for an awesome reply to this nonsense.

Gotta love Buzz Lightyear! My kids love those 2 movies.

Anyways, just got back from the fair. It was actually reasonably priced this year and the kids had a blast!

back on topic however... Did enough votes come in for the calendar?

Man, I go to the lake yesterday after work, get home tonight at about 9:00, pull up the message board, read and reply to two PM's, turn on the Georgia game, pull up this thread, read it all, and miss 5 minutes of the game. I am mad and is it all of y'all's fault. Everyone is getting blamed for this one. I am not happy. This thread was not worth 5 minutes of the Georgia game. All of y'all need to stand in the corner and go without internet for a week. :yup:

Been playing since 1892. Quite a while before Arizona even became a state. You have to be a state at least 100 years before you are allowed to have real college football teams.:rofl2::biglaugh::bananaman:dance::dancing::Handshake
