    heres two that i colored with pencil. (thanks mean_maverick for the pic lol :D)

    i think the 70 to 72 side stripe looks great and the 73 hood stripe would fit perfect around the scoops you put in. :thumbs2:

    i like the first one better but am not sure i like the black top i put on it :)

    Honestly, before you get the Puke reflex, you think to yourself "that looks pretty cool!"

    There was a short period in the 70s and 80s when people got really creative with their paint. My dad had "Golden Daze" painted on the back of his jet boat (454 ci big block--DE stroked to keep it under control) and the paint actually had gold melted into it in a cool streaky pattern. You just don't see that kind of stuff nowadays.

    I think it is really cool to take pride in your paint and do a one-off paintjob, even if it DOES look outdated...

    Remember those vans with the dragonslayer scenes painted on them...hot chicks in leather bikinis, big Swartzeneger guys with swords, on a mountaintop killing some voracious beat? That was some cool $hit!!!
