I wish I did. My dad had that same van when I was a kid. 1976 Dodge Tradesman, with at 440 ci and headers, glasspacks, holley carb, etc. His paint was more like the stripes on the first car, no mural. I knew when it was time to get "out of trouble" because I could hear dad coming home about a mile or 2 before he got there.
Where about in Washington are you at? I'd love to see the car in person & talk paint. And anything else Maverick/Comet related.....
LOL...My dad had one similar...and I wasn't a kid!!! I was in my mid 20's about that time. (early 80's I think)
Thanks for the compliment Ray!! It would be really cool to see one of my ideas actually painted on someones Mav!! Hope to post some more new ones later this week! Scott
Paint in Primer Grey! lol. Or Chameleon! jk I would do an orange, like this color. Then add some Black Metalic flake stripes to the sides. Then on the hood do a Black Metalic flake stripes on the hood. Also do little ones for the hood scoops. Then paint the back of the car black. Hope you get the picture. I will try to photoshop something up. Not very good at it though.
ive always like a two tone. i would take the stalion paint job modify it a bit. the side color would go all the way to the botom of the car and where the "hip" of the rear fender is i would bring the color higher so it creates more of a curv giving the car more of a muscel looking line on the back section of the car then cary the side color up and over the trunk with a grabber spoiler that color. the back tail light pannel will be painted the top color while its sorounded by the side color. you can use any two colors you like. ive seen a cool combo of black top with burnt orange sides. This is how i would expect chip foose to paint a maverick. he seems to like the two tone style like that.
