My 1973 Maverick 302 only gets 137hp while the 1971 Maverick 302 gets 210hp. What happened between 71 and 73 to have such a drop in horsepower. My dad's Saturn 4-banger gets 140hp and thrice the gas mileage. I'm suspecting emissions stuff...is there any of that stuff i can take off or anything i can do to make my engine get the horsepower like the 71 had? Any help is greatly appreciated...
