u made a good choice on intakes (the performer rpm )and a 600 cfm carb is more than plenty. in fact u may have to lean the primarys about 2
sizes ,

i will say that some long tube headers are a must if u want to make the intake work for ya (with 2 1/2 exauhast)..U can use stock heads
if u match your intake ports and blend the pockets smooth around the valve guides but stock exauhast ports suck. they need to have the big
egr bump taken out and the port opened up at least an 1/8 inch.
but u can do this yourself.(big valve alum. heads are nice but your
talking about 1200$ for good ones),
the main thing u need to watch is the cam and compression, this is what makes it tick. if i know more about wht u have to work with i can get more detailed on cams and stuff..and i need to know wht heads your running ,are they sled rocker or do they have studs..and
are the combustion chambers oval or cresent shaped like the newer ones are
