To your question about the screw in studs and guide plates, I would do it if I were you and had the money. The reason being , if you ever wanted to put on roller tip rocker arms, you can't unless you have the guide plates.Plus , it is more stable at higher RPM's because you don't have to worry about pulling a stud while driving fast:)And if you can afford it , go with the roller cam and lifters and also go with chrome-moly push rods, as far as roller rocker arm ratio( in case you are wondering , go with the stock ratio 1.65:1), and go with a full length set of headers if you can(stay away from shorty headers if you can). About the windage tray , they are available but aren't really worth getting unless you are all out racing, but another something I would recommend though is getting a performance coil.Hope this helps .Sorry about my first post ,I had a set of 351W heads that I was going to install on my 302 , but the 351 heads and manifold have more bolt holes, you can use(fact) the 302 manifold but I could of swore there was something I was going to have to change but I can't remember what it was because I no longer have the heads, that is why I posted what I had.Oh well , maybe it was nothing important.
