Welcome aboard! My first car was also a '73 Maverick (that was 16 years ago) and I still have it. I thought I was the ONLY ONE in the world who had an affection for this car. All my friends liked Camaros & Mustangs, but I've always had to be the "odd man out". Even though it's not a world-class car, I just couldn't stand to let all that potential go to waste. And then then I get a computer and discover I'm not alone! I am surprised that someone your age has the same appreciation for such a car. Cool...
: Hey! This place is great! Its good to know some people out there actually care about the Mav. I currently am working on a '70 Mav 2 dr. I've got the Grabber hood and spoiler installed, as well as Grabber door panels and grille. I recently had it painted black and this summer, when I get a job, I'm going to drop in a 302. already have the motor mounts and everything.
: I'm 17 and my Maverick has been a great first car. ( I picked it up for $500 with Progressive mags and all the above-mentioned Grabber accesories. He was a friend of my dad's so he gave me a great deal.) I't kind-of neat because my dad's first car was a Mav and now I'm driving one! I'll definitely be back...
