302 engine swap....motor mount problem

Okay, so heres the deal. I have a '74 four door which I'm putting a 302 in (in place of a 250). The engine is ready to go in, but I've run into a problem. The motor mounts I have do not line up with the chasis mounts when the engine is bolted to the tranny. The chasis mounts I have are from a '73 maverick. Specifically, the motor mounts sit too far forward. Do I simply need motor mounts from a different year (I think the motor mounts themselves are for '74), or is there some other problem.
