: Let me chime in on this!!
Me too!

: Keep in mind the '57 Chevy guys were saying the same thing 20 years ago. Now, even '57 Chevy 4-doors are bringing a hefty price, but of course, not as high as the two door.
Yeah... depends on the condition... There is a place east of here that sell "classic cars", (it's a drrrrooooolllll* store), everything from restorables from 500$ to a really rare mustang fro $30,000
I have been offerd $2,000 for my Maverick....

: First of all, I would compare this $1200 car to say a car my friend just bought, a $1200 1989 Dodge Colt. Which is the better buy as far as a "daily driver"? I would go with the Maverick. It's easy to work on, it has a rebuilt engine, it's an automatic, I'm guessing (versus the Colt which is a 5-speed). The Maverick is a lot roomier, probably rides a tad better, and even maybe a little safer. And five years from now, the Mavderick will still be worth $1200, while the Colt will be worth $500. By the Way, a few days after he bought the Colt, it broke a CV joint, something a Maverick would never do.
But, it depends on the person... alot of people tend to look at cars rather half hazzardly....

: I think the key to the price on this car is that you have to compare it to what else can be bought for $1200 out there. As a classic car, it might not be worth $1200, but as far as a daily driver, you can't beat it.
It also depends on where you live... In my area, a majority of the Mavericks on the road are "beaters" (but by God they're still running!!) It seems that everyone who wants an old Ford want a mustang...
: Finally, as the old saying goes, it's worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it.

True.... hold on though.. you might be able to get it...
