Yes, the C-4 will handle the 351W fine. The shock/spring towers will need to be cut back and re-welded or you will have trouble fitting exhaust manifolds/headers in it. You also won't be able to change spark plugs without this modification...

Anyway, here's the deal: I'm going to try to stuff a 351W into a 74 Comet. 1)Will the C4 taka them extra torque? My donor car was a 77 Mav 302, which had an engine that would cost so much to whip into shape that the 351W is a cheaper option. And 2)I have read here that modifications are necessary to the engine compartment. What modifications specifically and, most importantly, what is the cost of having this done?
