bought a 73 4dr 302 last month. had to replace some power steering hoses
(soft & old-- would not pass MD inspection)
When I drained the fluid, it was red-- like ATF fluid.
New power sterring fluid is colorless (yellow).I am without
a chilton, and the local mechs don't want to take the
time to talk. I won't elaborate on the IQ of the part's
clerk.
At first when I replaced it, the pump started 'moaning'.
After 2 days (approx 35 miles)it has quieted, but is still faint.
Any feedback?
