If it only happens when it rains, then it probably isn't the heater core.
: : Sounds like a heater core prob... you can by pass it (as a temporary fix) but to be honest if it's been leaking for a while I would replace it ASAP... When we did it on Alice I also had the cooling system flushed and checked.
