A/T Kickdown rod

Does anyone out there know if a '77 Mav (302, 2bbl carb, C4 tranny) came with a kickdown rod ? When I started disassembling my '77, I noticed there was no kickdown rod. A previous owner had a carb fire (evidenced by charred paint on the hood) and swapped the original 2bbl for a new Edelbrock 4bbl with stock type cast iron intake manifold.
Anyway, just wondering if I need to go junkyard shopping again. Thanks in advance.
