Very good point on selling the 289 to a stang person. But you might want to establish which 289 it is. If it's a K engine, it is worth somewhat more. Second in hp was the C? motor and the lowest hp was the A? I am going from memory on this stuff, but you get my drift.
: Go with the 76 302b and sell the 289 to someone restoring a mustang. Easy money.
