The Cleveland I was gonna put in needed sleeved so I said the hell with it
and sold it, and most of the parts that went with it. I changed my
mind yet again, and WILL cram the 460 in there somehow. Some guy named
Rick Brown has a 71 Maverick with the towers cut back 2 inches and a 472
in his with Tubular Automotive Headers on it. His car is on Fordmuscle.com
I called Tubular up and they said they don't make headers for a 460, so
they are a mystery right now.
Later on I may try putting in a mustang II style subframe but for now
I'm just gonna use what I got and see what happens. I've gutted one of
my 460s to use to experiment with, just bare block, intake, oil pan, rocker
covers and heads. I'll keep you guys posted but I think I just may be
able to pull it off.
