: Ok. I'm trying to find some places with rebuild kits for the I/6 200. Any suggestions and advice appreciated. Please keep in mind that I'm aiming at 'budget performance'. I looked thru the site at Clifford Performance and noticed some messages from folks who were less than enthusiastic about thier products. Do any of you have any first hand knowledge of thier stuff?

I'm also curious as to any information any of y'all may have on a shop called Lowesville Automotive Wharehouse Inc. in Lowesville NC. They have a kit listed as
Year Cyl CU Cost
65-83 6 200 $310.51

KITS INCLUDE:
HASTINGS Piston Rings, DETROIT Gaskets w/No Re-torque Head Gaskets, MICHIGAN77 or ENGINETECH Rod & Main Bearings, DURA-BOND Cam Bearings, MELLING Oil Pumps, BADGER or SILVOLITE Pistons WOLVERINE Cam, Lifters & Cam Followers, DYNAGEAR Timing Sets, PIONEER Freeze Plugs FELPRO Gaskets are available on most applications at an additional cost. Cost varies

Do these parts sound good? Bad? What should I avoid or look for as far as manufacturers go? I ordered a copy of "Rebuilding your small block Ford" from Amazon and should be receiving it mid next week or so.
