Mavericks didn't have the FORD lettering on the front of the hood until 1975. The last year for the grabber hood was 1972. So it looks like the answer is no; I don't know why your hood has these holes, it shouldn't.
:i have what appears to be an nos grabber hood,it has an i.d number on the left outside rail underneath,i cant make it out because it wasnt stamped properly.my question is did the factory hoods come with the ford lettering across the nose,mine has the holes in the exact same location as another non grabber hood i have which has the ford lettering. thanks mcmav
