::Stick with the AOD. It will fit and is not that hard with the proper parts.
:
:even if it is that tight of a fit, I'd stick with a widely known AOD vs an addition to the original tranny.
:are you dead set against a 5 speed?
:and if it fits the tunnel(which I'm not sure of, I dunno 70 Mav vs early Mustang) there isn't that much more work involved in comparison to a r & r of a tranny.

My biggest concern is really with price and modifications. I don't want to purchase something that may not fit properly or possibly at all. I also want to use headers and is a definite MUST. I also don't want to pay too much because I am somewhat limited too $1500 MAX which must include the trans., crossmember and all additional pieces. I am not really fond of having to modify pieces due to my limited time lately and I would really like something that just bolts in without much hassle.

The trans. I was wanting to use is out of an 89 T-bird and I can get it for $150 and needs a rebuild which would be done by my brother for $100 to do the job. A kit is around $250 for everything and $75 for a torque converter. So as you can see, $575 is what I am looking at so far, but how much would the additional parts cost as a total? Also, is the 89 trans. an electric trans.? I want to avoid computer controls.

Anymore help you can provide would be great!

Thanks again.
