The 71 & 72 Comet GT had small bumpers like the Maverick sibling. These years also had a fairly straight stripe running the length of the car with "COMET GT" on the front fender section of the stripes. In 73 there was a little larger front bumper and the stripes changed to a wavy stripe following the top creases, and the "COMET GT" was moved to the rear quarter. These continued in '74 and up as well as larger bumpers in '74 front and rear. I do not know about the pedestal mounted spoiler. I have never seen one and I have been around a lot of COMET GT's in the past 18 years. It could have been a rare option but I would guess it was a dealer or owner installed add-on. As for the wheels, there were aluminum wheels available as options in most years, with '73 and up using the '73 Mustang aluminum slots. I have many pics if you need more help. Seth
