But the FE engines just weren't that great....they were too bulky to really pull their own weight (i've got a friend with a 390 w/ cobra jet heads....great torque, but no real go...). They're certainly not BAD engines, but if you were going to put something that doesn't belong in the car, you have a few better options (a 351C is a good option...or hell, just get some cleveland heads off a modified block and put them on a windsor). The best thing about the mavs is their light weight, and with an FE block you'd really just be weighing it down..i can only imagine the cornering :)
