The bottom of the seat pulls out, and the back of the seat then lifts straight up -- it sits in some sort of slots or hooks. But my car already had cutouts for 6x9's. Are you planning some monsters?

:Hey. I am putting in a stereo this weekend in my 71' mav. It is a four door. Anyway the panel below the rear windshield, I think it is an 1/8 inch thick cardboard but please correct me if I am wrong, needs to come off so I can cut the speaker holes. Anyway I can get the rear bench off and the plastic panels that run on the side in the back. But do I need to take off the back of the rear seat? What I mean by this is the part of the seat you would lean your back against. Because I do not know how or if that part of the seat comes off. Any awnsers would be appreciated, any info and tips you think I could use would also be appreciated. I also have tweeters for up front, where do you think the best location for them is. Thanks.
