:ok I think I knwo where they are (as i'm intrested in this topic as well) are they what the firewall goes down to and uder the car right??? why are they there and for what??? mine are eaten out but the floor is solid, but the rockers are gone...kida weard if you ask me....

:p.s. if your lights get brighter when you rev. the motor does that mean you need a new alt??From what my Grandfather taught me years ago...it is battery. The battery has a bad cell and is not very strong and the alt puts the voltage up where it should be, but the battery is not charging to keep it up there. Pull the pos cable off while its running, if it stays running the alt is most likely fine.
