Ok, heres a question for yall. I likely know the answer but want your input just to satisfy my own curiosity. In my Comet,
250/6 w/C-4, when driving at higher speeds, and with no tack available, I get the impression that my car is wishing it had a fourth gear. I can feel and hear the engine, acting as if its saying hey, aint this a little fast. I have had many of these cars over the years but never experienced anything quite like this. When I install the V8, I am almost certain that the rear end has gotta go. WHat do u all think? Is it the 2.79 gears or what??? I mean, Im not dead set on a performance machine cause my wifes gonna drive it for goodness sake. But maybe the AOD aint such a bad thing here?? Keep in mind that here in Texas, to go anywhere usually requires highway speeds even on what most would consider short trips!!
