My a/c hasn't worked since I got my car, which was no problem 'cause I bought it in november, but now that summer's here its getting to be a little annoying, especially since I live in south texas. It blows air fine, it just doesn't cool it. I took it to the shop a long time ago and they said that it was a freon leak possibly in the compressor (or something like that), that it would require more testing, and that the minimum cost would be $350. I don't have 350 lying around right now. Then I talked to another guy who does some side work out of his garage and he said he'd do it for $60 (but then he hasn't actually seen the problem.) If its something easy I might be able to do it, but I have almost no equipment. any ideas? I know I'm being vague, but I don't know much more about it than that (not too mechanically inclined).

thanks,
stuart
