Has anyone had any experience with FE-series motors in a Maverick? There was a "Cammer 427" Maverick in SuperFord last year (I think) where the guy had to totally cut out the front, but in the article it said that it was possible to squeeze a 390 or other FE-based engine between the shock towers (but not an OHC 427, cuz they are wider). I had a 390 4V in my 69 XL convertible a couple of years ago, and it would absolutely scream. I can only imagine what it would do in a car that only weights half as much!

P.S. The car that is pictured is identical to my old XL, minus the goofy hub-caps and GT Stripes. I sure wish I still had her.
