I used an 85 AOD, worked fine, I made my current linkage work by flipping over the shifter lever on the tranny and adding length to the shifter linkage.
the crossmember should work, but I'm making another, I moved my original crossmember behind the original mounting point with a little reinforcement, but after my headers it wasn't low enough.
I used the 85 TV rod, worked fine, but I highly recommend the Lokar TV cable for AOD w/carb's. it fits much better, just overall simpler solution, I had to bend the TV rod to fit under my firewall, that threw off a lot of crap, which made me have to bend other stuff.
also gives you more allowance if changing carbs and such, I added a 1 inch spacer, so I had to rebend my TV rod again, the cable is unaffected.
the biggest issue is the tranny tunnel size of your 69.5, all AOD's are the same size, and it was a damn tight fit in my 74.
